How's everybody doing? It's been one insanely busy week at work, and I was so needing a weekend. The weekend is almost over now but I do feel less stressed. On friday I went on a first date and it went well, and we'd both like to see each other again. Then Saturday was all about soccer as it should be. :D I got to watch the Reading v Man U game and was very happy with the result. Marcus was a bit scary with some of the rebounds he was giving up, but I can't blame him on Chris' goal. I then watched Stuttgart play at home. They were leading late into the game, but don't worry they managed to give up a late goal to tie it up. :( Stuttgart is so frustrating!

Then came the DCU v Red Bull game at RFK. The stadium was pretty packed and I think we were particularly loud. :D As has become a custom with us we were missing a bunch of starters (Gros, Namoff, and B Carroll). I really enjoyed the tribute to the original '96 team. Marco has also been officially put up on our Wall of Excellence. :D Brian Carroll stoped by the Barra and got a T-shirt! :) Our players are awesome! So after we were up 2-1 in the second half when Facundo looked like him and Youri were having a bit of a diagreement and kicked at him (I haven't watched the game again yet so not sure). But Facundo got a red while Youri got a yellow. We managed to score two more goals on the run of play while playing a man down, and we also gave up two. So we won 4-3! A win is a win, and now we are guaranteed first place in the east and home field advantage through the playoffs. :D

Then on Sunday we had our last reserve home game. We ended up losing 0-1 on a PK. This game seemed like on of the louder reserve games I've been to, and I was laughing during most of it. We have some fun hecklers on our side. :D Before the game even started Jon Conway was warming up punting the ball and he kept hitting it into the stands. So when he finally kicked one that stayed on the field we cheered, and he bowed to us. :p When Buddle subbed in many people were having fun with the DUI jokes. And there may have been a few Scotland sheep joks. :p

I then decided I really should do some clothes shopping because it's been forever since I bought more than a jersey. :p But I kept getting annoyed again when I couldn't find any pants that fit. I did manage to find one pair of black pants and some khakis. I must have lost more weight than I realized because I used to fit in 2 or 3, but now some 1-2 are too big for me. :( I need to gain some weight, but my body doesn't seem interested. I seem to go through times where my stomach doesn't want to eat anything and I have to force myself to eat small amount, and then I'll start feeling better. This has been going on for about 2 years now, and maybe I should think about going to a doctor. I don't know. (Sorry to annoy anyone trying to lose weight) :(

Most definitely, there's nothing else worth watching on a Saturday apart from football ;) hee, i thought you might be happy at the Reading result! :)

Exactly! I don't know what else I'd do without football on saturday. :D

I even started to believe they could win, but ah well at tie is still amazing! :D

Yay for a first date! I hope things turn out well for you. :)

About the losing weight thing; I used to have the exact same problem. It sucks! I estimate that I was probably near the high 80's at one time in college, but I refused to get on a scale so we'll never really know. I'm afraid I'm going to start losing again because I never seem to have time to eat and by the time I realize I haven't eaten during any particular day, I'm exhausted and on my way to bed.

I was going to say more but I totally lost my thought. I'll get back to it if I remember.

I hope things are going well for you! :)

Thanks! So far things are going well. :)

I knew you'd understand the weight thing. I hate when I start to feel a bit hungry just when I'm going to bed. Because I don't really want to eat, but I know I'll feel even worse when I get up though.

Right now I'm taking medical terminology to get a medical coding certificate. I heard that you were going into nursing. Are you working also? I haven't talked to you in a very long time.

Yeah, I'm trying the nursing thing. I'll have to see how this semester goes and then I'll be applying for programs in the winter semester. The way my first exams went, it's looking doubtful. I'm taking intro bio and chem, and ethics. If you remember, I DO NOT like bio and chem! lol. It's part of the reason I decided against nursing my first time through college. lol

I'm also working. I work full time at an assisted living facility. Basically I spend eight hours a day passing pills, wiping butts, and getting hit and yelled at. For the most part though, I like it. The good days are really good, and I can't help but absolutely adore some of the residents. It's kind of scary though because I've only been there three months and I'll soon be the "senior" afternoon staff. Everyone that was there when I started has quit or is quitting in the next couple weeks. There are only four afternoon staff anyway, but still, it's scary that I'll be the "experienced" person on staff any given night! lol

Argh, clothes shopping really does suck, no matter what size you are. Stupid bastards who make clothes, I really don't know who they design them for, but it would seem not human-shaped people, anyway! -hugs-

Good news on the DCU game, hee! :-)

I bet all clothes designers purposely find out what sizes people tend to be, and then design anything else. It just makes shopping take so very long, which can be annoying for a person who isn't much of a fan of shopping in the first place.

Thanks! It's always fun to beat the Jersey scum. :p

Exactly. And some people enjoy it. Enjoy it, wtf - how the hell can anyone enjoy spending all day fruitlessly trying on clothes that don't fit/look awful. Soul destroying!

Heeeeee! And the same for Celtic against teh dirty Huns ahahahaha! We win! -glomps you-

Just catching up... I think it was Wolyniec that Erpen got int he shoving match with. Erpen...*sigh* I wish we would ditch him; he's way more trouble than he's worth. Always getting caught out of position and having to do dangerous things to make up. And how clever is it to get into an argy-bargy right by the ref, have him tell you to STOP IT, then before he's even had a chance to walk away to push the other fellow over? But we did end up winning (just barely!), so the night ended happily.

It was nice to see so many of the old lads for the tribute. Before the match, Marco drove in to park right past the Eagles, and stopped and rolled down his window and waved "hi!" when everyone started shotuing and cheering. :-)

The reserve game was fun! I only got to see the second half, but De Roux was burning it up! He should get a chance to start or at least sub in some serious in the last couple of matches. And Schopp...he's an Austrian version of Diego Serna--bleah! Thuggy, divy, and tlaented. I can take talentless hacks diving and tripping better than good players. If it's the only thing you've got, well, it's not good, but... Whereas if you can actually play well (and Schopp looks like a really good player) why cheat? Grrr. The Red Bulls deserve him...

Yay for good dates. :-) May you have many more.

I know Erpen can be hard to watch sometimes. There are times he's really good. But you're definitely right about he can get caught out of position, or choose a poor pass not to mention his love of going down but missing the ball. But hey what do I know? I'm still not willing to give up on Stokes. :p

I totally agree with you on Shopp. What would you expect from a Red Bull player? :p

Hi there! Yes it's been a crazy long time since I posted on LJ. I do occasionally look around but I guess I've felt too busy to post. *hugs* Maybe I'll do one today just for fun.
