Current mood: crying, sad, etc...

Totally pointless post
I'm going to keep this short and sad. I tried to not let my hopes get too high, but even though I knew us getting through to the next round was a long shot I clearly failed. I'm currently eating dinner, and have the Australia/Croatia game on. But I'm already tired and just not in the mood to really watch a game right now. I'll probably stop and finish watching it tomorrow after work. I really don't feel like going to work. :( Even though it'll probably be a pretty calm day, and the end we're having a potluck for the June birthday's but still all I want to do is lie in bed. I'm sure I'll be ready to watch games normally come tomorrow.

We just weren't good enough. :( We know Bruce will be leaving now, and I wonder who will take over?

Oh and not that it matters.. But that was NOT a penalty! Gooch didn't have a hold of his jersey didn't push him or anything. Just because he's bigger and the guy falls down does not mean PK!! But Dempsey looked close to being offside on his (and our only) goal, but I don't really want to know, and am not going to rewatch it to find out.

Just watch the last 15 minutes of the Aussie game. It's VERY ENTERTAINING.

Yes and I keep reminding myself that I knew it'd be really hard to get out of the group. But it still hurts watching them play like that. :(

2010 USA and Scotland will both kick butt in the WC! :D

It was very frustrating all around. The PK was bogus, the three-match ban on Pablo is preposterous, and we played like a bunch of college kids. I love Bruce, but he completely blew it; it was up to him to pick a team and get tehm ready to play, and he failed to do that about as completely as it is possible to do. To say I'm both surprised by and disappointed in him is an understatement.

I hadn't even heard about Pablo's three match ban. That's crap. Oh and does that mean he sits out three games in any tournament like the Gold Cup, or just WCQ?

I'm not going to start bad mouthing Bruce much after this game, even though you're right it was his responsibility to get them ready. I knew he'd most likely be leaving after this WC regardless of the result. And I guess we'll just have to wait and see who they choose.
