I just got done watching the Man U v Burton game. Rossi had a really good game. I wish he wanted to play for the US. I was originally thinking of rooting for Burton because they are the underdog and it would mean so much to them, but then I saw Howard and Rossi starting so I had to root for Man U. I wonder if Saha really wants to play with the first team again? I understand one v one's with the keeper can be difficult, but I was just shocked with how he handled them.

Brian McBride was voted Fulham player of the month for December! :D

I was watching the second part of chillin' with Steve Cherundolo and according to one of the Hannover coaches Steve is one of the best right wing defenders in Europe! :D That's awsome! And they also said he's a typical sunny California boy.

I wonder what is going to happen with the whiny Amado Guevara there was a quote in a Honduran paper where he said this..
"If Lalas stays with the MetroStars, I will not produce, I will play half-heartedly," Guevara told La Prensa of Honduras. "So I prefer being traded. And if it is Dallas, all the better.
I also don't want Lalas as my GM, but this puts the Metros in a very difficult postion. Guevara clearly doesn't want to stay and all the other teams know he has an attitude problem and the metros are going to need to offload him. I couldn't imagine how mad I'd be if one of my DC players said this, but it makes me laugh that Amado is saying this because it's totally not surprising.

Rossi was very good actually, I was impressed although I think the commentators here went a bit overboard. I know he's probably a great prospect and all (i don't know, haven't seen much of him) but they need to take into account it was a game they were strolling and they were playing a Conference team. But he was very good...just wish our media wouldn't get so excited at everything! :p

I have no idea what Saha was thinking, he's usually quite good in those positions! Strange...

I didn't notice the announcers I was listening to complimenting him too much. But he does only have a couple games of experience. Your media aren't the only ones to jump the gun on a player.

Who knows what is going on with Saha?

so I had to root for Man U

I know you're younger than me, but still, some things in this world are simply unacceptable. Rooting for such a side will just lead to bad habits later in life. In fact, I can say 100% that all Manure supporters one day will die! Ha!

(no, I just really despise them, almost as much as Burnley supporters. At the club I work at, people in Manure apparel are invited to remove said items if they want to hit the dance floor. I bring extra shirts as a courtesy. Those who refuse are denied entrance. Those who appear in Burnley apparel simply have the crap kicked out of them right then and there...)

As for Guevara, that's been coming for ages. The only way it's possibly OK is because he's a Metroscum. Vamos United!

Haha! I understand. :p I pretty much always root for the team with the American on it except when they are playing Blackburn or Stuttgart. Since I don't have really strong feelings for teams outside MLS. But I'd find it really really hard to root for Arsenal even if an American started playing there.

Are you English or American? I was just wondering because you said you're a Blackburn fan and just watch DC Untied.

I'm not surprised about Guevara but I find it very funny. :p

I can't believe that quote from the newspaper. Gosh, that's an awful and unprofessional thing to say. Bloody hell :-(

It is very unprofessional, but he is a head case so I'm not surprised. I'm not upset about it though because the Metrostars are big rivals of ours. :)

Yes I'm a Blackburn fan. I've adopted them as my favorite english team. But my true favorite team is DC United (fairly obvious considering my lj name :p) I started watching them because Friedel was on the team, but then once Ryan Nelsen (one of my favorite players) left DC to go there I've been really supporting them.

They aren't on tv here all that often, but I did get to watch them play Bolton recently. I've seen them once live when they came over here to the US to play DC in the preseason.

I'll friend you. It's always good to have more Blackburn fans on my lj. :)

Yes that is Alexi Lalas the crazy haired red head. He's the General Manager of the Metrostars now.
